Hello! My name is Luz Joannie Thomas Torre. I have been married for 27 years and am the proud mother of a 25-year-old son. Three years ago, I moved from Puerto Rico to Davenport, Florida.
From a young age, I have been passionate about social service through the church. I have directed children’s ministry, led a Daisy Girl Scout troop, and traveled to different countries as a missionary, working with children and adolescents.
One year ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to join the Nurturing Spirit team as a Direct Support Professional. I am grateful to God for allowing me the privilege of serving individuals with developmental disabilities and providing support to their families.
