I discovered my love for working in the special needs community a little over 15 years ago as I ran the bases with my little brother as a volunteer for the central Florida miracle league. My younger brother was born with significant health impairments and cognitive disability. I have been caretaking professionally for about 7 years and I have found a love for breaking down barriers for the people I serve. I am passionate about helping adults with developmental disabilities find hobbies that they otherwise would have never thought they could participate in. To me, this means I can help shape our local community to be safe, fun, and welcoming for anyone with special needs.
